How to make an appointment

You can make an appointment by calling the clinic on (03) 9039 5644 or online via HotDOC.

If you require an urgent appointment, please get your doctor to complete our urgent referral form or call our clinic directly on (03) 9039 5644.

Our wait list is currently approximately 4-6 months due to the popularity of our dermatologists but cancellations do come up regularly. We thank you for your patience and please know that we are working incredibly hard behind the scenes to see patients in a timely fashion. One option to be SEEN EARLIER is to book an appointment on HotDoc and then contact us to be put on our CANCELLATION LIST. Cancellation slots do come up regularly and reception may contact you for same day appointments. 

Cancellation Policy
At Hope Dermatology we understand that unforeseen circumstances arise. Our team try to be as accommodating as possible! Due to appointments being in high demand, we have a cancellation policy to allow another patient access to that appointment. Therefore, cancelling your appointment with less than 24 hours notice will incur a $200 deposit before booking any future appointments.If the subsequent appointment is cancelled with less than 24 hour’s notice or you fail to attend, this $200 deposit will be taken as a cancellation fee. Thank you for your understanding.

Fees

We are a private billing specialist clinic and do not bulk bill. There are discounts applicable to eligible pensioners. DVA gold card holder patients do not incur any out-of-pocket charges.

For fee estimates please contact our friendly reception staff. Please be aware that any treatments/biopsies etc will incur additional fees to the consultation.

Reception staff can give an estimate costing for you of additional fees but please be aware that these are not fixed quotes as the reception staff may not be aware to the full extent of the procedure being performed by the Dermatologist. 

Doctors Referral

To claim back the Medicare Rebate for the consultation and any treatments/procedures, you must have a valid doctor’s referral. Please ask your referring doctor to fax or email this to our clinic, or ensure you bring it with you on the day of the appointment.

Waiting List

If you feel your matter is urgent, please contact our reception staff for an urgent appointment or to be put on our cancellation list. We will endeavour to accommodate your request.

Cosmetic appointments

We also offer consultation appointments with our expert dermal clinician. Bookings can be made 24 – 7 via HotDOC.

Cosmetic consultations are approximately 45 minutes in duration and there is a fee of $55.00 including GST. This fee is redeemable on cosmetic treatments within 3 months of the cosmetic appointment.

Telehealth appointments

Telehealth appointments are available for your convenience for certain skin concerns during Covid peaks. Please request a telehealth appointment when you are making your booking.

Patient Registration Form

If you are a new patient, please try to fill in this REGISTRATION FORM and bring it with you to your appointment. Alternatively, please arrive 10 minutes prior to your allocated appointment time to complete the paperwork at the clinic before your appointment.

Urgent appointments are available for your patients

Call us on (03) 9039 5644 to make an urgent appointment for your patient.

We have dedicated urgent appointment slots that are available only to doctors who ring directly to our clinic. If you require an urgent appointment, please ring us directly and we will do our best to accommodate your urgent request. We will always strive to get your patient an appointment within one week, if we possibly can. Please also fill out this urgent referral form.

Non-urgent appointments

Our current wait time is approx 4 – 6 months but cancellation slots  frequently arise. 

We are happy to receive referrals either via phone (03) 9039 5644 or fax (03) 9686 9898. Our phone lines are open from 9am till 5pm, Monday to Friday. We correspond using Argus secure messaging 605581@argus.net.au. Our HealthLink EDI is hopederm. You may also fax or use encrypted email to send a referral to us on reception@hopedermatology.com.au.
